Live Donkeying
I was supposed to be getting a computer from my aunt, but apparently it's crashing every 5 minutes and is basically worthless, so yeah I'm still without a CPU at the moment, which totally sucks. I'm not sure when I'll even be able to get myself back up an running, it looks like it could be another couple of weeks before I even have access to a shitty computer that I can load Poker Stars on to, and I will not be able to multi-table whatsoever because it's such a shitty machine.
I would just go ahead and buy a computer, but most of my savings are going towards a vacation in June with my girlfriend so I wont really be able to afford one until late in the summer probably... so yeah that sucks.
Last night was pretty rough, I was very card dead over the 5 hour session. I was dealt TWO pocket pairs, 77 and 44, I folded the 77 to a PF raise and re-raise. I paid $4 PF to see a flop in position with the 4s and didn't catch a set. I was dealt AQo once and I folded PF to raise, call, all-in (i was OTB and all that action was in front of me). No AKs, no AA-88s not even AJ or suited broadway cards.
It's a $40 max buy-in, I topped up for $10 once and $20 later on, so I was stuck for $70
I was dealt 10-7s a couple of times, I think I took down a small pot with top pair, and I double-barreled 10h-7h with a flush draw successfully and took it down on the turn.
The only pot I ever got all-in with - my stack was around $37, I had 8-6o OTB and limped into a 5-way pot. The flop was 6-7-8 rainbow, MP bet $6 and I pushed all-in for another $30, he called with Q-9. The turn was a 5 giving him the straight, but I luck-boxed an 8 on the river for a full-house.
Many rounds later I didn't do anything interesting, I made a couple bad folds with middle-pair out of position when I had the best hand. I folded a K-high flush draw to a raise and re-raise, I would have hit the flush, but I didn't want to put in $70 with no fold equity as a 35% fav at best.
At the end of the night I cashed out for exactly $70, so it was +/- 0, dead break-even. I wasn't very happy with my play, although when you are playing <20 hands an hour of 11-handed Nl40, you don't really get a big enough sample size to figure out what's going on and I was pretty card dead. I wasn't playing too sharp though, it wasn't the regular crowd and I was kinda annoyed at how little poker was being played and how much pointless banter and TV watching/beer drinking was going on. Plus I wasn't high at all.
It was a very so-so night, but I'm glad I got to sling some chips and get out of the house.
There was in total 1 interesting hand that I'm gonna share.
Hero is in the CO with Ks Qd and a $95 stack a couple hands after I more-than doubled-up with 8-6
EP calls $1, MP calls $1, Hero calls $1, SB folds BB checks
Flop: Qs-Js-2s, pot is $4.50
Everyone checks to me, I bet $3.50, BB calls, MP calls.
Turn: Qs-Js-2s, Jh, pot is $15
BB bets $10, MP raises to $30, Hero folds
I probably should have raised preflop, but I usually don't mind seeing a multi-way pot with broadway cards, so thats why I just limped. Obviously that was a pretty good flop for me, if someone bet into me I had an obvious big-reraise, but sadly I just got 2 callers.
When the J fell on the turn I didn't like my hand so much, I'm not drawing to the nuts, my top-pair is trumped by the JJ sitting on the board and there was lots of action in front of me, so I folded.
BB went all-in and MP called
BB- 8s-3s for the flopped flush
MP- Jc 9s for trips+FD
The river was another 2 giving MP a 1-card full-house.
I am not too upset with how I played this, although maybe I'm too results-based.

Disaster Strikes
My computer died! Yikes!
Okay, so I'm starting to realise that I have literally no readership at this blog, which doesn't bother me so much, and I do get good readership at my www.thpblog.com blog (exit music, BTW). However I like having 2 blogs because I get to post the more self-indulgent BS here and more poker-theory stuff on the other blog.
Right now I'm typing on a MAC, which wont allow me to install Poker Stars b/c I'm running MACOS2.0, it's my mom/brothers computer, I'm over it. My aunt it giving me a new computer (6 years old=new, right??), so hopefully by next week I'll be up and running for some marathon sessions, I really want to finish Silver Star and I really want to finish 100 $11 SNGs, I think that if I get into a good groove for a couple of days next week I'll be able to accomplish these goals.
Wow I just realised how much easier it is to type on a actual keyboard compared to a laptop computer. It's probably a lot easier to multi-table on a screen bigger than 14" too.
I might post more later, since the half-month in review I finished my $6.50 turbos! 100 done, and I am not even in the negatives! Although all of my PT stats are kaput so keeping good track of my monthly goals is basically impossible.
I'm gonna be buying a DELL computer in about 6 months.
Anthalon x2 5000+ dual core processor
250 GB HD
4GB RAM
3 year ext. warranty
22" widescreen monitor
Vista Premium
Cost: <$1500 Canadian
Maybe later
a secondary monitor, dell 22" widescreen
$350
Those are the prices now, I'm thinking everything will be cheaper by the time I'm ready to buy. Or at least I'll be able to get more stuff for the same price. I'm super excited b/c I know this machine will be crazy fast and soooo good.
Can't wait to put Poker Tracker on the new machine
In 6 months I will be a happy boy :D

$11 STTs, 43/100 completed, -$68, -14.38 ROI%
$4.40 180SNGS, 7 complted, -$30.80, -100 ROI%
3.5K hands of NL cash games, -$43
2.1K of FRNL25, -$83
250 of 6MAXNL25, +$20.65
1K of 6MAXNL10, +$23.00
10 hours of live NL40, +260
I have a lot of work to do, but I don't really feel to bad about how things have been going. I haven't played any SNGs online in about a week. I don't have many turbos left to play, I doubt I'll be able to turn profit if I only play 100, that's okay though. Hopefully I'll be able to turn things around with the $11s.
I'm only gonna play 6-max for the rest of the month, primarily NL25 6-max. If I can play 3K hands of NL25 6-max by the end of the month I'll be happy. I'm going to play less tables because my focus just gets scattered when I play 8+ tables. I'll be cutting back to 4 tables at a time probably, maybe 4 cash, 1 MTT or something.
Okay I ran bad, now it's time to go crazy. Starting tomorrow.

Liveaments
.50c/$1 as usual, max buyin of $40. We started out 5 handed.
Preflop, 99 on the button folds to me, I raised to $3, SB calls BB calls
Flop: 4-4-4, pot $9
SB checks, BB checks, I bet $5, SB calls BB calls
Turn: Q
SB checks, BB checks, I check
River: 9
SB checks, BB bets $10, I raise to $25, SB goes all-in, BB folds, I call.
Final pot: $105
SB shows AA
I scoop
That was sick way to start the night, I can't believe how terribly SB played that hand, he couldn't have played it worse. BB had AJ, I have no clue why he'd lead out on the river.
This hand happened later in the night, we were up to a 8 handed game. I had about $120 in my stack, SB has about $100 in his stack
Preflop: K9o in the CO, EP limps, I raise to $3, SB calls, BB calls EP folds
Flop: 10-9-2 $10 in the pot
SB checks, BB checks I bet $5, SB calls, BB folds
Turn: 10
SB bets $10, I think and call
River: 7
SB bets $30, I call
Final Pot: ~$100
SB shows A2o
I scoop
I'm not really sure why I played this hand the way I did, basically I just wasn't convinced that he had a 10, and I wasn't convinced that he had me beat so I looked him up on both streets.
After this hand I didn't win any hands for a while, I donkeyd off some chips with a couple draws, lost a midsized pot when I turned 2 pair with K9, called a $10 bet, but folded on the river to a shorter stack's all-in of about $30 more. I showed the fold and told him I thought he had a straight. Later in the night after he went busto I asked again what he had, he was like "ugh you had me beat" but he was definitely lying so I felt okay about how I played it. I had about $150 in my stack when this hand came up.
Preflop: AcKc on the Button. EP limps, MP limps, I raise to $5, SB calls, BB calls, EP calls MP calls!!! Pot: $25 5-way
Flop: 5c-6c-4c
SB, BB, EP check, MP bets $8, I call, SB folds, BB raises to $48 , EP folds, MP folds, I raise all-in, BB calls
BB shows Jc-7c
Turn: Qc
River: 8h
Final pot $250
I scoop
This hand was crazy, I made a bigish preflop raise with my AKs and got 4 callers!! I was scared to see so many callers... until I flop the nut flush. I decided to smooth-call the bet on the flop to not discourage any action behind me, thankfull the BB also flopped a flush w/ the Straight flush draw and I got paid off his whole $100 stack. Ship it :D
I cashed out for about $240, it feels good to make a big win, especially after all the beating I've been taking online lately. I'm feeling a lot more confident in my game after tonight. Online is a lot more discouraging although you can play soooo many more hands per session. Tonight's 4 hour session, we probably barely played 100 hands, when I easily could have played 1.5K hands online, althouh I probably would have been down three dollars online because I suck at online poker.
Anyways that is all for now, I wish I lived really close to a casino so I could play 1/2 NL for 8 hours a day, that would be much more fun than playing online 8 hours a day. Lately I have kind of forgotten why I like playing poker so much. Playing with poker chips is a big reason, I also like to joke and needle other players.
I am gonna try my hardest to play some more online, but I honestly feel like grinding out $10 NL is a joke and a waste of time. I might just chill for a bit and not play much online then just deposit another $300 or so later this month so I can work on NL25. That probably makes the most sence, I just need to not suck at poker for once.
Peace out :D

Broked
The only other poker I played today was a couple of 45 person $5.50 SNGs. The first tournament I was completely card dead , I stole some small pots and folded, I had about 1.8K in chips and had 8-7o in the BB. There was 2 limpers, SB folded and I checked. The flop was Q-8-2 with 3 hearts, I decided to stick in a bet to see what's up, so I bet 300 into the 350 pot and got one caller. The turn was an offsuited 7, giving me 2 pair. I decided he either had a queen or a flush draw and I may as well stick it in while my hand felt good, he called and had flopped the nut flush with A-6 hearts. Oooooh well.
The second tournament I had my stack around 2K with 18 people left, avg stack around 3.3K, so I was one of the shorter stacks. I picked up 99 on the button, one of the midstacks limped in MP and it folded around to me. I wasn't sure if I had the best hand or not but I decided to push anyways and force him to call if he had 77 or 88 and there was a chance he'd fold a hand like Ax. He called with AQ, flop was K-10-2, turn 5, river J, I lose to teh nuts.
So I was even in Nl cash and -$15 in tournaments today. Poker is annoying. PS bankroll = $190
DOHHHHHHHHH

The Return
Basically my new goal for the month is to have a bankroll for NL25 by the end of the month. I need to make $280 in a little less than 3 weeks. If I play well and play dedicated, I should be able to handle it. As long as I actually run good for once.
I was playing a $4.40x180 MTT on PS today, I busted out around 40th with AA. I pushed all-in on the turn with a 4K stack, got called by 2nd pair - K9 - and he rivered a King to send me packing. I haven't cashed in a single 4.40 out of about 15 attempts. That is fucking pathetic.
I played 500 hands of 6-max NL10 today, made about $25 and I ran okay, i didn't get outdrawn for that many big pots, just a couple. And I actually scooped a couple pots! When my hand actually held up!! Yeah it felt so strange to not run bad. Although I didn't run great. Anyways, I am through with Full-ring. It feels a hell of a lot more natural to play LAGgy at 6 max and I like playing loose aggressive so it just feels right. I either suck at full-ring, or I just run bad. But I am definitely a lot better at 6-max, and you can play mor ehands per hour.
Okay okay that's all for now.
gg me, why can't I just run good at MTTs for once and have a little money again :(
Oh well.

Tilt
So yeah I'm taking a small break, probably not gonna play tomorrow either. I'm going to toronto on saturday to chill with my g/f. Things are getting weird though. We live in different cities and have completely different lives. Not sure how interested in eachother we are actually. I guess I'll just have to play my cards as they are dealt. Feels like my g/f is a gutshot str8 draw and I already called a big bet on the turn, facing another big bet on the river. I just got myself into a shitty situation and it looks like the only way I'm gonna make it out okay is if I hit a crazy card on the river. Or I could cut my losses and fold on the turn.
Poker/life analogy FTW :D

Most epic day EVER
I played sooo nitty in the cash game today. I only logged 834 hands of NL25, but I was up $37 which feels good compared to how absolutely shitty my day in tournaments was. VPIP was less than 10% for those hands, PRF was at 8%. TURRBO NIT. But I'm content running at 9.8ptbb/100 for any length of time, so yeah it was good. I was actually pretty happy with my play, I called 2 PF all-ins with KK, once I was up against AA, once I was up against 99. The first time it was very obviously he had AA because I raised 5xbb over 3 limpers and one of them pushed in for 13 more into $a 25~ pot, I should have known better, but I called like a donkey.
Okay wow - tournaments. WTF - down $130!!!!)(!#*(!# WTF
I don't even know what to say, I played primarily $11 SNGs and today was something of a downswing. I also played like 5-6 MTTs and donkeyed out of them, I had a 10K stack in a 4.40 180 SNG with 40 pple left (top 4 chips) and lost my whole stack in one hand when I flopped trips, and rivered the nut flush on a paired board... and ran into the 1 bigger stack with a flopped boat. And it was obvious he had the full house, I'm just too much of a donkey to fold anything.
Yeah wow I didn't play very well at all today. I came in 4th in SNGS about 5 times today when I was 2nd in chips and donk off to the chipleader, gving massive +ev to the shortstacks. And -ev for me.
Okay so it was a shitty day but honestly I'm not all that frazzled. Like, it sucks i'm down, but some good playing and some good lukc later this week and I'll be up up and away.

Why cant I WIN??
Okay so overall it was a bitter sweet day, I feel like I should have won more, but I did win some.
PS BAnKROLL: $496
I decided that I'm gonna play 100 $6.50 turbos and also 100 $11 SNGs as well. It's actually quite easy to multi-table turbos and non turbos . If I start 4 games of each at basically the same time, the turbos speed up quick so you can focus a little bit more on them when the blinds are still low in the 11s. Once the turbo wraps up you are pretty much at the bubble in the other set so you can apply full pressure and focus to take down games one after the other. Going from 5 tables to 8 is a complete breeze, I am pretty skilled at multi tabling and I only have a 15" monitor. I know there are people who play 10-20 tables at once, but i'm not one of those people.
Speaking of which, I am getting a new computer pretty soon - maybe in like 6 months, and I'm trying to decide what size of monitor I want. I can get a decent 19" widescreen monitor for less than $200, although you can get a nice 20" widescreen for about $220, 22" are at least 290.

Unless I win a string of MTTs I doubt I'll feel like springing for a 22", but the 20" seems pretty +EV.
Anyways that is all for now Peace and Gl at the tables
T I L T
My day started off having to dig my car out of the snow and ice, my parking spot is in my backyard/driveway and it is a small downhill slope, so after the recent brutal snow beating we took in the past couple of days, my car was in trouble. After digging and salting for almost 2 hours I finally got enough traction to get out of there.
When I got home I fired up pokerstars, looking for some SNG action, but PS SNGS were down! I was mad annoyed and didn't feel like playing cash games. I really have to get over that and just start playing, I wish I was more of a poker addict.
After that I was supposed to make plans with my really cool friend who is home for reading week tonight. Instead she decided that she was gonna ship it back to school tonight, which sucks. She's basically the only chick who likes hanging out with me and smoking weed. Other than my girlfriend. Anyways this girl is pretty cool so I was bummed about that.
I watched the movie Babel and I was not overly impressed, it's just kinda intense and not overly interesting. Although there are some really awesome parts - it basically follows around 4 different situations where really bad shit is happening. There was a section that took place in Tokyo about a girl who is really fucked in the head which iwas sooo interesting and awesome. It was about this deaf-mute girl. Anyways you can see it, but it's rather perturbing, so when I sat down at the poker tables after that I was in no mood to play poker.
I started a set of 6.50 turbos, early on in the first SNG I pushed PF with AK and ran into AA. Shortly afterwards on another table my AK lost to AJ on a board of A-10-3 when he turned a J to pwn me. After this hand I basically just went on monster tilt and blew through chips by greatly overestimating my EV in preflop all-in situations and pushing with 4-6o, ect. Anyways it was a brutal set and I went 0-5.
Smartly I called it quits after that, I just wasn't able to think clearly.
After that my girlfriend called me, which usually puts me on bigger tilt. But I talked with the other chick on MSN for quite a while so I felt better after that. She is convinced i'm gonna marry my g/f, or that my g/f at least is gonna trap me cause i'm such awesome marriage material. lol whatever. I've been dating my g/f for like 3 years! thats totally crazy b/c i'im only 20.
Oh and today I also broke my glass pipe! UGH this is an utter tragedy it's literally the most kickass pipe ever, I don't know how I'll survive without it. On the plus side there's like a sickening amount of nice resin on the inside of the pipe, so I willl be able to scrape it all out and pretend its hash. That is basically the only good part of today - the resin from my broken pipe. Oh I also had a really delicious dinner, I made potatoes, caesar salad, asparigus, really awesome fresh bread and a really good lentel and bean vegetable patty - I'm a vegetarian so yeah that's basically the best meal ever.
I'm totalloy addicted to Yahoo-games pool.
Does anyone read this blog? holla if you do :D
peace
Anywho: PS bankroll - $440

SCARY SNG
Of the 25 tournaments I played today my records were not very good, I didn't run very well today and I didn't play great either, I had a dissapointing win rate. 3 wins, 3 second, 4 third. Taking 3rd place is a huge dissapointment, I just didn't get much luck today after I made the money. I didn't feel like I had much luck today at all, my wins were well deserved, but I kept losing 60/40s heads up so I had to keep chipping away and building up a stack. Meh, here's the graph for the day:
Pokerstars bankroll: $488

ARGH DONKAMENTS
Firstly I started a session of NL cash on Absolute, I get 6 tables up and running and my internet cuts out and/or my laptop becomes a lagtard and stops working. ANYWAYS so I had to cut that short so I logged perhaps 40 hands of NL10 without any interesting stackings or whatever.
I played 3 sets of 6.50 turbo SNGs. In the first set I won 1 and came in 2nd for another. Second set I made a record zero cashes and the third set I had 1 win, 1 2nd and 1 3rd. I really should have won both heads up matches in the last set but my girlfriend just called me and made me talk to her so my concentration was skewed - playing 2 heads up matches and an MTT. LOLowned, so my record for SNGs today was -(00.50c). It really fucks up days when you have no-cash sets, I'll certainly try to avoid those in the future.
The only MTT I played today was one of those stupid $5.50 donkaments on PSTARS. 1400 runners with a fairly shitty prize structure minus the top 5-6 players. I had a big stack for the first half of the tournament after I stacked 2 people when I had 99 on a 9-8-4 board, knocking out QQ and K8.
A short stack pushed for 8K, I had about 20K and pushed over the top with 88, tighty mc tight woke up with AK in the BB and called all-in for 16K, He rivered an Ace and I was down to 6K chips with around 100 people left. i think top 230 people get paid, but as I said, the payouts are SHIT until the final table.
Anyways, I actually doubled up my 6K with Q-8 against JJ when I pwned with a straight. I worked my stack up to around 75K (avg chips were probably around 185K) and I flopped middle pair with 8-7 on a Q-8-2 board, I check-raised all-in and big stack BB had A-Q, slowplayed for some reason - but hey, he got all my chips so congrats to him. I busted out 17th place, not too horrible for 1400 runners, but I was "awarded" a lovely 38$, which they kindly mixed with poison to help dry my tears until I die. Boo, so I'm kinda bitter about that, 1st place paid 1.3K or something, I would have liked to FT and/or win and/or chop. But too bad I suck and make bad pushes. I probably could hav e folded until I was in 12th place for 54$.
Boooooo
Okay thats all for now. Tomorrow I might play some NL cash, tonight I might even play some NL cash, but first I have been saving a joint for right now... so time to go indulge :D
LOL +32$ today.
march thoughts
The biggest leak in my game is pokerstars, there's no reason not to be playing cash games for no rakeback, that is plain stupid and I dont know why I even played 6K hands at pstars last month, that would be like 70$ in rakeback, which coincidentally is more than I was down for the month... so yeah I'm kind kicking myself for that whatever.
I hated absolute when I played there, I angrily withdrew - down 60$ - and vowed to play somewhere else. I put money on Mansion poker for 36% rakeback but theres like no cash game selection, they have max 2 tables per level, which doesn't exactly let me 6-8 table micro stakes, does it. I will still leave the money on mansion, in case I ever start winning elsewhere and allow myself bigger buyins for tournaments I'll work my way into a mansion 100K GTD that are ever so sweet. Can't see myself playing cash games whatsoever which kinda defeats the point of the 36% rakeback. Oh well.
Anyways I was surprised to see that $80 sitting in my account in absolute until i discovered that it was rakeback. I am comfortable starting out with 8 buyins for .05c/10c, I doubt I'm going to run bad enough to go broke here so hopefully I'll run good for a change and start making some money and some rakeback.
My goal for games games this month is gonna be 10K hands, thats 2.5K hands a week, which is certainly doable, thats only 3 800 hands sessions a week, I can handle that easily. My biggest problem with games games is my lack of aggression I think, I need to step it up a bit, I was playing full-ring on stars, which will be replaced with 6-max at absolute. I believe i'm a better 6 max player, it feels much more naturaly to play loose and aggressive. I turn into a maniac 6-max sometimes, I think that a good VP%IP to shoot for would be around 25% with PFR of about 18%. When grinding I'm basically just looking to play good aggressive poker, and at these limits you don't realy have to play tricky, bet bigger on the flop and dont waste time with smaller half pot sized bets.
I think harrington lead me astray in bluffing technique, I was fascinated with the idea of betting half the pot because you are giving yourself a 2:1 at winning the pot. In cash games this strategy is pretty balls. Betting on the flop, even c-bets should be roughly pot sized. My fault is not betting enough - I feel like I"m nto getting paid off when I have a hand, and Im the one getting suckered in on teh many coolers i faced this month plus the alwasy fun losing to 1 outters ect.
I"m really gonna focus and review on my strategies in the next few weeks, I wanna be a winning player NOW so I can move up to limits where I can start winning more significant money. Even just a couple hundread dollars a week would be very nice, and I think its certainly within my grasp. not at these stakes, I'm guessing that at the end of this month I'll be up somewhere around $300. I wont be dissapionted if I don't even come close, this might be optimistic, it might be realisitic, I dunot know we will see. This is basically the first month that my online poker playing with be more regimented and focused. Thought discipline control. Thats what antonio esfandiari says.
As far as SNGs go I only designated 100 tournaments as my goal for the month. I had a sickening run at $6+.50 turbos this month, the ROI was around 70% although I only played 21 tournaments. Even if I can run at 30% ROI I would be pretty happy and this first run makes me think that the turbos are at least beatable. For this month I'm just going to do sets of 5 SNGs, which means I only have to do 20 sets, I am planning on completing the 20 sets perhaps in the first 2.5 weeks and at that point I will be able to asses what my bankroll is sitting at, and at that point I will play donkaments MTT sngs, 45 person and 180 person. I truly believe that these are beatable and I knwo that if I start to run well and win 2-3 of these tournaments my bankroll will swell heavily. A good week in MTTs can easily double a bankroll, thats why I plan to dedicate the last week and a half to them. Obviously all this while playing cash games. And I also might run a bunch of heads up matches, just because I think those are fun and beatable. although frankly it's pretty hard to multi table when you'er playing heads up, which is why I'm not setting any heads up goals for this month, I need to focus on more important poker things.
Yeah this is a rediculously rambling blog. Perhaps tl;dr status. But yeah basically I"m just really really high right now.
Um I think thats all. I will potentially have weekly updates or more, not that anyone reads this. One day it'll be a hugely epic blog and i'll be a highroller 1/2 NL player with a 10K roll. I'll laugh and boast as I buy in to 100$ MTTs, this is foreshadowing people. Too bad I suck at micro limits.
Anyways that is all i have to ramble about.

lol donkaments: FEB in review
I spent quite a while this month getting pwned by pokerstars cash games, I am not playing NLcash at PS ever again b/c it lacks rakeback and I can't accumulate any FPPs playin NL10. I really got much better at multi-tabling this month, I would say that is easily my most important achievement because once I learn to not suck and/or start running well, I'll be able to profit nicely.
This month gave me a good idea of what goals I should shoot for, and thus, i am setting teh following goals for March. It will take lots of poker playing to accomplish these goals but I'm willing to do it.
10K Hands of NL CASH games
100 single table SNGs
10 $4.40 180 person MTTs on PS
25 other MTT SNGs
I can do sets of 5 SNGs, I only played 21 of them, but I absolutely killed the 6.50 Turbos on PS, I plan to repeatedly kill them again this upcoming month. I was raped by the 4.40 MTTs on PS, I don't know what my problem is but after 9 attempts this month I didn't even cash once, which is highly pathetic. I can see myself winning 2 of these in march just because variance gotta work like that, right?
MTTs were a massive dissapointment this month, I tread water basically for the 6.50 45 person turbos without a single win, very annoyingaments there.
Thats all for this entry wish me luck

tournament monday
Okay I played 13 different MTTs today, here are teh brutal details. Early in the day I was getting pwned left and right, unluckiness ensued, but I earned a couple of cashes later in the day to break even.
4@ $6.50 45-player turbo - no cash
1@ $12 45-player turbo - 4th place for $55
1@ $11 27 player SNG - 3rd place for $48
1@ $11 45 player SNG - no cash
1@ $2.20 MTT - no cash
1@ $5.50 MTT - no cash
1@ $11 MTT - no cash
3@ $4.40 180-player SNG - no cash
result: +$11, 15.38% ITM, 12.08% ROI, VP$IP 14.30, PFR 9.54
I just know that I am going to final table/win a bigger MTT any day now and my bankroll and I are anxiously waiting and playing. I'm glad that I can be breakeven+ when I am not exactly running well, basically getting no luck in T5 situations and losing crucial flips around the bubble to keep me away from big success, but that's all apart of MTT poker.

Hot weekend
I was thinking - I have about 250$ on Absolute poker and about 350 on Pokerstars, yet I'm wasting my time grinding .05c/.10c on absolute, which is a fucking shit site. So despite the fact that I deposited 300 on absolute, due to my 150$ downswing in the first day of my deposit, I ground up another 100 and decided on sunday to fuck it all and just cash out. The play is tougher than at Stars and the software is balls, so it's not worth the 30% rakeback that I'm making at these crap limits.
I was going to take the 250 from absolute and move it over to stars so I can be sufficiently bankrolled for .10c/.25c NL25, but I think I'll just work with what I have at the moment, if I go through any downswing I'll perhaps make a small deposit just to keep myself comfortably rolled. I wish stars had a redeposit bonus :/
So I plan to build my stars roll in 2 ways:
10+.50 HU SNGs and 6+.5 Turbo 45-SNGs
This weekend I only played 3 MTTturbos, but I cashed in 2 of them. Both of those cashes were 5th place for $24, both times I pushed preflop with 33, got called by Q-9o and Q-7o and lost to a Q on the flop both times - it was kinda strange to bust in the same place to the exact same situation.
Busted from a STT when my flopped nut straight lost to a rivered flush.
I was also 7-3 in HU SNGs this weekend.
So, for the weekend, +79.50 with an ROI% of 71.30, so yeah it feels good to run well for once. I'm also playing fairly well and didn't run into too many coolers.
I'm gonna take a break from NL cash, it's depressing and slightly boring. Tonight I will hopefully get to play some live poker, I'm gonna go chill with some friends and play some billiards, if we don't play poker I'm probably just gonna come home and get high :)

life tilt
Yuuuup, that's all, i will be starting fires soon. NL cash games are boring when you play .05c/.10c
I'm also sick and tired of Absolute Poker. I think I will be cashing it out as soon as I run well for a day, the software is bullshit.
Yeah I need to stop thinking about poker right now.

Live kick in the nuts
Wednesday was our weekly game of .50c/$1.00 NL40.
The session started out horribly, I made a questionable laydown.
Dealt to hero: 10-2o
Blinds are .50c/$1.00 MP1 ($35) calls, CO ($45) calls, Button (65$) calls, HERO SB ($38) call BB checks.
FLOP: 10-8-4r, pot $5
Hero bet $3, MP1 calls, Button calls.
TURN: 10, pot $11
Hero bets $6, MP1 folds, button raise to $12, hero calls
River: Q, pot $35
Hero ($22) check, button goes all-in, I fold :(
Maybe a bad laydown, he didn't show me despite my pleas, so I'll never know.
I didn't re-load after this hand, but maybe 2-3 hands later I knocked out a shorter stack to get up around 45.
Lame-ass bad beat:
Dealt to me: QJ in the BB
Preflop: EP1 calls, MP1 calls, button calls, SB calls, I check, $5 pot
Flop: Q-J-7
SB checks, I made a weak $2.50 hoping that someone goes over the top. EP1 goes all-in for another $25 or so, it folds to me and I call, pot is around $55-60 and I've got about 20$ left
EP1 shows J-9
Turn: 10
River: 8
Boooo
After that I re-loaded and went on a tear busting people all over the place, cashed out for $150.
Next day I played in a $50.00 donkament at sketchy.bar and literally didn't win a hand except taking the blinds once with AKo.
I made a check-raise against a short-stack who was playing 90% of pots and he went all in, I had 7-4o (nothing) and had to fold.
I had about 2K chips, blinds were 100-200 and picked up 99 on the button, chipleader raised to 450 and I pushed. SB calls and chipleader calls.
SB shows KK
Chipleader shows AA
flop K-Q-J
Turn 9
River 10
errrr live poker is rigged - especially when I'm the dealer : /
I set-mined for like 2-3 hours in the insane 1/2 game they had going, I grabbed someone's $40 stack early on with a set of JJs and then didn't win a hand for the rest of the night.
I think I was down about $115 for the day.
NOT so much of a great way to start off the month.
Tonight - online donk'n'gos on Absolute and maybe some .05c/.10c 6-max grindstationing.
Tuesday I vow to destroy the tournament at sketchy.bar.

Jan 30
I played 400 hands early in the day, was up about $20. I was in toronto with my girlfriend, then I came home to KW and played another 450 hands and lost about $19.45. I really was not playing well and I was running kinda badly. But I was clearly playing like shiiiiiiiit.
865 hands total
$0.97
VP$IP: 27.40
0.56bb/100
PFR: 14.10
I was just not making good decisions so instead of grinding on, I quit for the day. I was tired after traveling, I never should have even sat at the tables. OOOOh well.

Jan 29
VP$IP: 26.01
PRF: 13.39
(-4.19)bb/100
-$14.37
Yeah it was a bitch of a session today - well it was broken into 3 sessions, I was not running well at all, I lost about 3-4 set-over-sets today and only stacked someone with a set once. I wasn't playing optimally today, my brain just wasn't 100% there, I probably made 5-10$ worth of tilty calls on the river. The biggest hand I won only netted me $12.42, which seems pretty shitty considering the number of hands I played today - I didn't win many big pots whatsoever.
I'm gonna work on playing a little bit tighter tomorrow, and also really focus on putting my opponents on a range of hands before the river. Overall I just felt like I played fairly weak-tight today.
Rags
I'm a micro-stakes NLHE player, I've been playing hold'em for about a year now. I've read books upon books upon books, maybe 8 or 9 at this point. I'm a 2+2 addict and a high-roller blog addict. I'm a 20 year old balla with a lot of time on my hands.
I've messed around online for a couple of months now, but I have only been really focusing for the past couple weeks. At the moment I'm working up my $300 bankroll by playing .05c/.10c NL20 6-Max on Absolute Poker. I really hope it wont take long to move up in limits, but I've learned some good lessons in bankroll management so far and I'm not gonna move up until my roll can handle it.
So right now, I'm a 6-tabler - my laptop screen is reaaaaaally shitty so 6 tabling can get kinda hectic when screens pop up all over eachother. I do my best to play at least 1000 hands per day, although ideally 2K hands a day would be ideal. I'm prepared to play these micro-micro limits for another month or so, after that hopefully I'll be able to swing NL50 successfully.
I also have another $300 on Pstars for tournaments and sit'n'gos.
Anyways, I'm pretty sure that I'm the only person in the world who will read this, aside from possibly my girlfriend.
